How I generated 102k impressions in my first 28 Days on X

There’s a big change you’re struggling with X engagement right now. You might be new on the platform, with great content in mind already… but you just don’t know where to start. And that’s fine because we’ve all been there, including me not so long ago.

The tactics i’m about to reveal are explaining how I got an account with 0 followers to gain 100k+ impressions in just under a month. I would never even think of such a high number in my first month the day I created my account. But here we are.

So are you ready?

Let’s get into it.

No. 1: Nice profile

Nobody wants to see an ugly looking account on their timeline. Trust me, you could have the best content in the world but if your account doesn’t look pleasing to the eye, it’s useless.

Take a nice picture of youtself as your profile picture. Believe it or not, people prefer to follow people who have a real profile picture instead of a brand logo. It builds trust and transparency.

Have a clear call to action in your bio. If you’re looking for clients, you should be redirecting people from your profile into your DMs. And so on.

Keep your bio and header rather simple.

No. 2: Comments

The hands down best way to grow on X is to engage with other users within the same niche as the one you’re in. But not just engage. You need to be focusing on spreading as much value as possible in people’s comment sections. And you need to comment as much as possible aswell.

One comment per day is not going to put you out there. You need to comment atleast 10-30 comments per day in order to see small results in the beginning.

Remember, no one knows you at the start. You need to prove yourself. Volume is key when just starting out.

No. 3: DMs

This is something I would never even think of doing when joining X. DMing people who don’t even know me? That wouldn’t work, right?

It actually works really well if you do it correctly.

You need to DM people who you aspire to be like. Introduce yourself politely, compliment one of their tweets or their profile, doesn’t matter, then ask a question. Ask something you yourself would like to be asked.

People like to feel like they’re passing on knowledge.

My tactic was always really simple, I simply asked how to build such a great community just like you, that i’m just starting out and would like to get some advice.

Usually they’d follow me back and gave me a genuine answer.

No. 4: Post questions

This also surprised me. X seems to push out content with lot’s of comments instead of lot’s of likes. When you’re directly asking a question to your followers, they seem to interact really well.

(In order for your posts to get engagement you will need to complete the first 3 steps first)

Think of it like this: Your followers are also looking for content (step 2) so when you directly ask them a question where they can express their opinion freely and naturally, your post will get engagement.

Be sure to respond to as much comments as you can. This also builds trust which you need when creating a personal brand.

Implement these and you’re good to go!

If you implement these 4 steps, keep being consistent and patient, your account will start to get traction. Remember, nothing great comes overnight, but when using the right tricks, you can have an advantage right from the start.
