Do you actually need to go to university?
If you don't want to be a doctor or lawyer, you probably don't need to go to university

Going to university after you succesfully graduate high school might be an obvious path you might take. The general opinion on university is that it gives you the security of not having to worry about unemployment.
University guarantees employment.
But a lot of time, people hate their jobs. They succesfully graduated university, earned their masters degree, thought life would turn easy from now on.
But the reality is often sour.
A lot of people go to university just for the sake of having a degree without a real plan for their future employment or income goals.
I will give you a brief example. You’re 19, fresh out of high school. You still have no clue what you want to do in life and that’s fine. However, you’re forced to pick a university, which will give you a path to your future employment. But how are you supposed to pick the right school when you don’t even know what you want to do? Exactly
You almost always pick an absolutely useless school, which gives YOU no benefits at all.

According to a study from 2022, from 96,000 college students from 133 different campuses accross the US in 2021/2022, 44% of them showed signs of depression
This is different than those who already have figured out what they want to do. If you want to be a doctor, your medical degree is a necessity. In that case, go for it. It will have direct correlation with your future employment which you want to do.

Society needs doctors. If you want to be one, great, go for it. But if you don’t have your future figured out yet, don’t panic.
I would recommend gaining experience instead of pursueing a useless degree if you don’t have things figured out just yet. Join the workforce, make some money for yourself, gain that much needed experience in the real world which they can’t teach you in school.
Or if you’re still in high school, start trying new things. Try that business, try a new sport, become disciplined. These things will give you an edge when you graduate highschool.
